VPNOU Setup Guide
Set up your account and subscription first, import the subscription into your client, then check that the connection works. Skip any steps you’ve already completed. On a new device, pick up again at client import.
Screens and menus vary across platforms and clients. “Subscription,” “configuration,” and “import from URL” may refer to the same type of action. This guide explains the order of operations and how to confirm each step is complete. For button names, supported clients, and system prompts, follow the latest instructions in your account panel.
Create your account and save your login details
Open the account panel using the link below, then enter a username and password on the account creation page. VPNOU doesn’t require an email address; a username and password are all you need to create an account. Choose a username that’s easy to recognize and save. Use a unique password you don’t share with other sites. Before submitting, check your input language and capitalization, and make sure you haven’t copied any spaces along with your password.
When you’re done, check that the account overview appears in the panel or that you can log in with the details you just created. If the page is still on the form, read the prompts by the fields and correct the relevant information instead of submitting repeatedly. Creating an account doesn’t activate a subscription; next, choose a plan and confirm the order status.
Save your username and password in a trusted password manager. You’ll need the same account in a different browser or on another device. If you lose your login details, don’t rush to create another account and pay again, or your orders may end up split between accounts. For account help, see Frequently Asked Questions.
Choose a plan and confirm your subscription is active
In the Plans section of the panel, distinguish monthly subscriptions from data packages. Monthly plans suit ongoing use: ¥9.9/month for 60GB, ¥18/month for 250GB, and ¥28/month for 500GB. Data resets monthly on your activation date, not at the start of each calendar month. If you’re new, choose based on your browsing, video, and file transfer needs. Coverage and server counts are separate from your data allowance.
If you’d rather pay based on usage, consider a data package: ¥158/300GB, ¥358/1000GB, or ¥658/3000GB. Data is deducted as you use it and never expires. The main difference between the two product types is how billing and data work, so double-check the plan type, price, and allowance before paying. For a side-by-side comparison, see the plan pricing page.
After choosing a plan, follow the order page instructions to pay with Alipay, WeChat Pay, or USDT. Once payment is complete, return to the account panel and check the order result and subscription status. Simply opening the payment page doesn’t mean your subscription is active. If payment is complete but the status hasn’t updated, refresh the order history before trying again. Keep your order details for reference.
All plans support unlimited simultaneous devices and include a 30-day money-back guarantee. If you upgrade a monthly plan mid-cycle, the price difference is converted into remaining days; check the panel for the exact result. Confirm that your selected subscription appears in the account overview before copying the link. This helps avoid troubleshooting a subscription that hasn’t taken effect yet.
Get your subscription and import it into your client
While logged in, open the account overview and find your subscription details, copy-link option, or client import option. The subscription link lets a client retrieve the server configuration available to your account. It’s not a regular web address or an app installer. If opening it in a browser shows text, downloads a file, or says it can’t be previewed, that alone doesn’t tell you whether the subscription works. Import it into a supported client instead.
If the panel offers one-click import for a client you’ve installed, try that first. Your browser may ask whether to open an external app; check that it’s the right client before allowing it. If the app doesn’t open, copy the link instead: copy the full address, then paste it into the client’s subscription or configuration page. Don’t copy only the shortened portion visible on the page.
Keep your subscription link as secure as your login details. Don’t post the full link in public comments, group chats, or screenshots. If you need help, describe the error message and where it occurred instead. The address below is an example only and won’t connect:
https://example.com/sub?token=YOUR_TOKEN
You’re done with this step once you’ve found the import option for your account or copied the full link. If you haven’t installed a client yet, stay in the panel and go to the download section in the next step. You can return to the overview to copy the link after installation, reducing the chance that something else overwrites it on your clipboard.
Import on your platform, then connect once the server list appears
Open the download section in the account panel, select your device’s operating system, and check the recommended client and import instructions. Installers are available in the panel to active subscribers; this page doesn’t provide static installers. Read only the section for your platform. After importing, confirm that the subscription is saved and the server list appears before connecting.
Windows: Add the link in subscription settings
On Windows, use the desktop client provided in the account panel. Check the download section for the current version and supported systems. After installing and opening the app, look for “Subscription” or “Configuration”—don’t enter the address in the connection toggle. Return to the panel and use the one-click import option for your client. To import manually, find an option such as Add Configuration or Import from URL, paste the full subscription link, and save it.
After saving, update or refresh the subscription and wait for the server list to appear. Then select the configuration you just imported. Some apps keep old configurations in the list, so seeing a name doesn’t mean it’s active; check which one is selected. If import fails, first check that you copied the full link and that the client supports the subscription format provided by the panel. There’s no need to change your system network settings right away.
macOS: Import and check the active configuration
For macOS, download the desktop client from the account panel. When opening the app, follow the system prompts to confirm the launch. If you see an error or permissions prompt, check the panel’s installation instructions first rather than changing system security settings. In the app, use Add from URL in configuration or subscription management, or open the app through the panel’s one-click import option.
After importing, make sure the subscription expands to show servers, then set it as the active configuration. Some clients keep running in the menu bar after you close the main window; you can open the controls there when you connect later. If the app shows an empty configuration, try updating the subscription, then check its status in the account overview. Installing the app and importing a configuration are separate steps; installing alone won’t add servers.
Android: Allow the required network connection settings
On Android, use the mobile client provided in the account panel. Download the installer through the panel and follow your device’s installation prompts. Menu names vary by device, so follow what appears on your screen. Open the app, go to the subscription or configuration list, choose Add from URL, paste the subscription link, and save it. If the panel supports one-click import, you can switch to the app directly from your browser.
Wait for the server list to appear before connecting for the first time. Your device may show a VPN connection request; this is the system authorization the client needs to establish a network connection. Check which app is requesting access, then confirm. If another similar network app is running on your device, pause it before testing this connection. Check background activity settings only if you’re disconnected after switching to another app, and follow the help instructions; there’s no need to change them all during initial import.
iOS: Find a compatible app using the panel’s instructions
On iOS, getting a client works differently than on desktop. Check the account panel’s download section for compatible apps and App Store links. App availability and requirements may change, so follow the current instructions there. Install a client that supports the subscription format, then return to your browser and use the panel’s import option. Don’t assume an import link designed for one client will work with every app.
For one-click import, make sure your browser opens the intended app. For manual import, paste the link into the app’s subscription management or Import from URL screen. Save and update, then check that the server list appears. The first time you connect, you may be asked to add a VPN configuration and authorize it using your device’s verification prompt. Follow the on-screen instructions, then check the connection status in the client—not just whether a configuration appears in system settings.
Linux and other import details
VPNOU also supports Linux. Sign in to the account panel for the currently available clients and compatibility instructions. Startup and proxy handling vary across desktop environments, so this guide doesn’t cover command-line configuration. For configuration updates, proxy modes, and details for other platforms, see the relevant sections in the beginner-to-advanced guide.
Connect to a server and verify access
Open the imported configuration, choose a server, and turn on the connection. When starting out, you can try a nearby region, but judge whether it works for you based on your own access results. Keep the client’s default mode for now and enable any required proxy setting as described in its interface. A selected server doesn’t necessarily mean traffic is using it; check both the connection toggle and active configuration.
Next, open an international website you normally use and check whether it loads, lets you sign in, or supports the actions you need. You can also visit our What’s my IP page to compare your exit region before and after connecting. Treat the result as a diagnostic clue, not definitive proof based on a region name alone: browser proxy settings and an existing website session can affect what you see. For a reliable check, consider the client’s connection status, access to your target service, and whether the exit region matches the selected mode.
If the server list is empty, go back to subscription management, update the configuration, and check that your subscription is active in the panel. If servers appear but won’t connect, try another one. If the client says it’s connected but your browser behaves the same way, check the proxy settings and look for conflicts with other network apps. Change one thing at a time and note the results before and after to help identify the cause.
If a website loads but an AI tool or streaming service is still unavailable, don’t assume the import failed. The service may also take your account region, sign-in status, or its own access rules into account. See the AI access guide and streaming access guide for steps tailored to each scenario. This guide doesn’t guarantee that any specific website or catalog will always be available on every server.
You’re ready when your account has an active subscription, the client shows a server list, the selected server is connected, and your access checks meet expectations. You can now use the service day to day; there’s no need to change advanced settings you’re unfamiliar with.
Picking up where you left off next time
Next time, you’ll usually just need to open the client, check the current subscription and server, then connect. If your plan changes or the panel says the configuration needs updating, refresh the subscription in the client instead of adding the same link again. Unlimited devices doesn’t mean unlimited data, so check your remaining data and subscription status in the account overview as you use the service.
If you still need help, search Frequently Asked Questions by the connection issue you’re seeing. To contact support, use the support ticket portal in the account panel and include your device’s operating system, the step you were on, the error message, and whether switching servers changed anything. Hide your subscription link and sensitive account details before sharing screenshots. For help with renewals, routine maintenance, and advanced settings, read the complete user guide.
